At the atelier Uncle-Z, Zentarou Tsuchida and some expert stuffs, more than 10 years\u2019 experience, are creating accessories and framed arts of Shippou-yaki.
They carefully make up modern and heartwarming items originally designed

They do not die cutting by machine, but clips copper plate by hand. Hammers are clanging as shaping each item to an original shape.<\/em><\/small><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After that, they repeat putting several colors of glaze and burning it in oven many times to form beautiful color and gloss which is uniquely Shippou-yaki.<\/em><\/small><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Atelier Uncle-Z is positioned half-underground of a building near Shukugawa station along Hankyu-Kobe line at Nishinomiya city in Hyogo prefecture. The atelier is easily accessible from the central area of Osaka city.
The entrance of the atelier is the staircase beside the signboard in front of the road. Anyone can come in freely when the lights put on.<\/em><\/small><\/p>\n\n\n\n

They are working on a coloring process at the big table in the center of the atelier. The big table is crammed with petri dishes which carry glaze made of glass materials. Penholders are filled with ink brushes and thin bamboo spatulas which are used for putting glaze.
Staffs are always gathering and clattering away in this place. Sometimes, all of them are having teas and breaking to refresh themselves.<\/em><\/small><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The electric oven which is used in a burning process. Different from ovens which are used for ceramics, it has no smoke and smell at all. But the temperature in the oven is near 800 degrees. In the summer season, they have little bit hard environment near the electric oven to wipe the sweat.<\/em><\/small><\/p>\n\n\n\n
